TERMS AND CONDITIONS
CARRIAGE CHARGES
Owing to the very high cost of despatch for our plants, we ask our customers to add a £7.95 contribution to these very heavy carriage charges. Our expert packing is still free of charge. There is no surcharge on the delivery of larger parcels/orders.
DISCOUNT
Larger quantity prices already give considerable discount.
The following further discounts also apply:
Orders over £500 deduct 21/2%
Orders over £1000 deduct 5%
Orders over £1500 deduct 71/2%
Orders over £2000 deduct 10%
MINIMUM ORDER
There is no minimum order, all orders are welcome.
PRICES
All prices will remain the same until a new brochure is issued.
SUBSTITUTIONS
We hold large stocks of most varieties and do not normally substitute. Should we have difficulty in suppplying a variety of your choice, we will, whenever possible, contact you for your advice. Your telephone number is helpful in this respect. Should circumstances make prompt despatch preferable, we will substitute a similar variety of equal, or greater value unless advised to the contrary. If you prefer not to accept
a substitute, please mark your order accordingly. May we add that the substitution of a fruiting plant from our nursery is very rare indeed.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
Once an order is accepted, stock has to be reserved and your order processed etc; and very considerable administrative costs are incurred. Except for the exceptional circumstances a cancellation charge of £5,000 or 10% of the order value will be deducted from the refund. This, of course, does not apply to normal refunds.
ADVICE SERVICE
We are pleased to advise and help whenever we can. Please remember that there may be a delay in reply. Most letters are answered within 14 days and we often answer 500 queries in a week. As you can imagine, at times of peak demand this can ‘snowball’. An S.A.E. is very helpful.
GENERAL TERMS OF BUSINESS
All plants are inspected prior to despatch but if on receipt of your order, you are not entirely satisfied for any reason, this should be returned to us within 7 days so that immediate action can be taken to ensure your satisfaction. The plants always leave our nursery in first class condition and their continuing good health is now in your hands. Failures should not occur and, as we have no control over the planting
and general after-care, we cannot accept responsibility for failures. Full advice is given in our catalogue or is available on request. We are,
however, always here for help and advice should a problem occur. We cannot be held responsible for losses caused by exceptional frosts, droughts, floods, etc; over which neither the supplier, nor the gardener, has control.
Acceptance of an order does not constitute a contract to supply. Orders are accepted only subject to a suitable quality plant being available at the time of lifting, and at the required standard of health. If there is a problem we will inform you.
IMPORTANT
If you wish to write to us for comments or advice regarding performance of newly planted stck please do so between 1st June - 1st July ONLY. Do not write before early June because newly planted stocks are often later coming into growth and you need to give them time. Once 1st July has been reached you have had ample time to contact us and our files for correspondence shall close and there will be no exceptions. This does not of course apply to normal enquiries/letters. |
