SEQUIOADENDRON
The famous ‘Wellingtonia’ or ‘Mammoth Tree’ of California. The
Dawn Redwood is the tallest tree in the world - this is the largest in
terms of sheer bulk. Unlikely to reach such proportions in this Country
and rather slow growing, but still requires space to show of at its best
whereupon it can make a specimen of rare and noble majesty.
giganteum 10’ Develops characteristic downswept branches as it gets
older and a thick deeply furrowed and buttressed trunk. The grayish
foliage is evergreen and younger specimens have a more conical habit.
Recommended for parkland, estate, or very large garden.
