MAGNOLIA
Wonderful flowering trees which in the Spring
probably eclipse all others for the glory of their
blooms. Mostly of small to barely medium sized, they
do well on moisture retentive reasonably drained soils and
appreciate some protection from late Spring frosts for the
best effect. Our range now includes some very choice, unusual
and sought after newer varieties.
Betty 4’ A small compact hybrid that is outstanding for its long display
of large deep purple blooms. A free and reliable Magnolia for the
smallest gardens.
£21.95 (F)
Elizabeth 5’ A new variety who’s release
was greatly anticipated as the first true
yellow Magnolia. The pale primrose
coloured blooms exceed all expectations and
carry a sweet, light scent. Blooming May-
June, demand will exceed supply. Early
ordering advised.

Heaven Scent 6’ As the name would imply
this Gresham hybrid is richly scented. The
large pale pink blooms are flushed a deeper
shade on the outer petals. A magnificent
Magnolia which flowers at an early age;
irresistible.
£36.95 (F)
Joe Mac Daniel 6’ A Gresham
hybrid with absolutely huge
goblet shaped glowing rich pink
blooms, even on young plants.
Produces a good, shapely tree,
outstanding.

crimson within. Flowers much later than other Magnolias, in July and
