The Larch family are often large and fast growing trees. Both the
emerging shoots and Autumn colour are worth mentioning/ Useful
trees for woodland, boundary and wildlife planting, there are now also
dwarf specimens for patio and small garden.

tree of slender habit, the older branches begin to droop elegantly. The
new foliage in the Spring is quite the freshest, uplifting shade of brilliant
green you will ever see. Yellow Autumn colour.

this newcomer could hardly be more
different to its origins in habit. A very
small and compact little low mushroom
headed tree with the cascading branches
falling right to the ground. Typical larch
foliage and just as fresh in the Spring, the
burnished gold cones are displayed
prominently too. Once seen on the
Nursery always requested and the star of
several of our horticultural exhibits, this
may be one specimen it is necessary to see
to fully appreciate. Highly recommended
for the patio container, as a waterside feature, small bed or even border
front. Still in short supply due to show orders and the fact that it is
still new.

kaempferi Jacobsens Pyramid 15’ The Japanese Larch. A large and
beautiful tree with longer needles than our Common Larch, these are
a fresh glaucous blue-tinged green and turn to russet-amber in the
Autumn. Tough, hardy, the twigs and younger stems are reddish.
Jacobsens Pyramid is a choice selection where the naturally pyramidal
outline of this tree is accentuated to a uniform, classical, and highly
effective degree.
