EUCRYPHIA
Very ornamental trees for a sheltered or woodland position, this is only
a small family of trees which are relatively rare and coveted for their
white single flowers which have long stamens. They prefer to have
their roots shaded and a lime free soil. If a little particular in their
requirements they are well worth fussing over and when in flower some
of the most beautiful of flowering trees.
glutinosa 6’ A glorious small semi evergreen tree for a milder locale.
The beautifully frilled leaves turn a vivid fiery red during Autumn and
the flowers are a silky white with a luxurious boss of central stamens,
the whole may be as much as 6cm’s across. A flowering spectacle in
July and August. A rare and choice specimen.
