CRATAEGUS
Generally small trees that are hardy and adaptable, growing well
anywhere. The well known Thorns, tolerant of drought and also pruning
to keep them in shape. Collectively also known as the flowering Mays,
there must be few finer sights than these trees when completely
covered by their blossom, providing a valuable later display after the
flowering Cherries and Crab Apples are over, many also reward with a
display of Autumn fruits.

tree with quite large, handsomely shaped
leaves of soft downy green and excellent

striking Winter display. The growth is virtually
thornless. Choice, rare and new. £17.95
