CHIONANTHUS
A genus of 2, little known species, from North America. Generally
quite hardy and easy with no fads, if you are looking for something
truly different this would be hard to beat.
virginicus 6’ The ‘Fringe Tree’ is so called because of the delightful
feathery pure white flowers which appear all along the underside of the
branches in May. Rare, usually consigned to the ‘specialists corner’ but
very attractive and should be better known.
