neglecta erythroblastos 8’ This choice and uncommon form has elegant clusters of three leaves which emerge bright salmon pink, recalling the beauty of the better known Acer brilliantissimum, but possibly even more shapely. Very slow growing, older specimens bear panicles of soft yellow flowers in May and June to further enhance the thrall of this exceptional species. It received an AGM in 1962 but has been rare in cultivation ever since. One of our most special trees.
